The Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) is a body, recognized by the Govt. of India under the Maharashtra Public Trust Act 1950, (Act No. XXIX of 1950) vide regn. no.: BBBSD/402 date: 11th April 2000.

To support and promote standards of peri-operative nursing practice.
To identify and meet professional needs.
To advise operating room nurses on issues and decisions affecting their practice.
